In this article, you will comprehensive instructions on how to add new users by creating individual profiles in WiQ. This feature is essential for managing user access on a per-user basis. Creating single profiles is useful when you need to add users one at a time, as opposed to bulk uploads, which are more suitable for larger groups of users.

What You Will Learn

    1. Navigate to the user management section of your company profile

    2. Create a new user profile

    3. Edit User Profiles

Who Should Use This

  • Receiver Superusers

Instructions

1. Navigating to the User Management section of your company profile

  • From the main page, click Profile and My Company to access the Company Management page
  • Click 'users' to open the Users & Roles section

2. Create a new user profile

  • Click '+ Add User' to open the Add User Details window where you can enter user details.
  • Complete the required fields: First Name, Last Name, and E-mail. The Company Title and Role fields are optional.
  • To activate the user immediately and send a welcome email, toggle the 'User Status' button to 'Active'. If you would prefer to activate the user later, leave the status as 'Inactive'.
  • Click 'save' to finalize the addition. A green confirmation pop-up will appear, indicating that the user has been successfully added.

WiQ Tip! For adding multiple users at one time, consider using the CSV upload method. For instructions on this process, see the 'Adding New Users Via CSV Upload' article.

WiQ Tip! If you have setup your company with Single-Sign-On (SSO) you must ensure that the users email has been added to your company's WiQ Active Directory (AD) list. Check with your IT department to confirm this. If you have not setup SSO for your company, the users will receive a welcome email with a temporary password to log in to the application.

3. Edit User Profiles

    3.1 Bulk Editing Users:

  • Use the checkbox in the header line to select all users on the page for bulk actions such as deactivating, sending invites, or assigning roles and locations.

  • Alternatively, you can also select specific users by checking individual boxes next to their names.

    3.2 Editing User Information

  • Click on the individual user's name to open the user details window

    • Update the user details, including status, roles, groups, and locations.
      • If you need to change the user's email you must delete the user profile and create a new one.
    • Click 'view summary' to review the changes
    • Click Save to finalize the changes to the user profile
