Create a Ticket: Using a Template

Who Should Use This

Definition:

  • Template: a template is a preset 'ticket' used to guide users in creating a compliant and complete manifest or shipping document. It simplifies the ticket creation processes by removing unnecessary steps, making it quick and easy to complete a ticket. Templates can be setup in advance and help ensure compliance and uniformity, saving time by providing a reusable standard structure
  • Templates can include the following information:
    • A title
    • Pickup location
    • Waste type, code and classification
    • Drop-off location
  • Templates will not include pickup date/time, shipping information (volume) and the transporter details as this information changes on a ticket-by-ticket basis.

WiQ Tip! To have new templates added to your template library, contact your company's Superuser or WiQ Support for support.


Instructions

1. Access the Templates Library:

  • From the main page, click 'Templates' located at the top right corner of the page.

  • Sort Templates by clicking 'Sort by Name' or 'Sort by Date'.
  • Select the template you would like to use by clicking 'Template details'


2. Creating a ticket from a template

  • Click 'Use Template' to create a ticket

  • Pickup date/time, Shipping Information, and Transporter Details
    • This information is not pre-populated on a template and must be completed
    • Pickup time: select a pickup date and time using the calendar and clock icons
    • Shipping information: enter the volume and select the unit of measure
    • Select the transport company from the 'Transporter' dropdown.
      • Option: to select the driver name from the dropdown, or type their name and phone number in the available text box
      • Option: to enter the 'Truck ticket/BOL# information if known.
    • Click 'Proceed' 


  • Additional ticket information:
  • When all information in the ticket is complete, click 'Proceed' to move to the review page
  • Review Page & Sign off on the ticket

    • Review the ticket details

    • Notes added to the 'WiQ Ticket notes' section will be included on the manifest or shipping document.

    • Click 'Name of Authorized Person' to sign off on the ticket. 

      • If you do not see your name in the dropdown, type your name in the text box and click 'Create.' This will add your name to the dropdown menu.

  • DOW/Hazardous waste ticket: you will be asked to confirm that you have read and agree to the TDG declaration, check the box to continue.
  • Non-DOW/Non-Hazardous waste ticket: you will be asked to confirm all information is correct. Check the box to continue
  • Click 'Proceed' to review and confirm the final ticket PDF

  • Confirm AER Manifest/Shipping Document PDF:
    • The ticket is in DRAFT Status and must be confirmed to become a live ticket. 
    • Click 'Confirm' to send the manifest or shipping document to the transporter and receiver. 

Conclusion
