Instructions:
1. Select the AER Waste Code
- To select the appropriate waste code, use the AER Waste Code dropdown menu. You can either scroll through the options or type in the search field to locate the desired code. Click on the code to select it.
- The waste code serves as a descriptor of the material's general nature and aligns with the associated waste name.
2. Select the Waste Classification
- To select a waste classification, open the Waste Classification dropdown menu and click to choose NONDOW/Non-Hazardous
3. Select the Physical State
- Click the Physical State Dropdown Menu and click to select the physical state of the material.
- Liquid: Contains free liquids as determined by the Paint Filter Liquids Test (PFT)
- Solid: Does not contain free liquids according to the PFT.
- PFT Overview: A 100g sample is placed in a paint filter. If any material passes through and drips within 5 minutes, it’s classified as containing free liquids.

4. Complete Shipping Information
- Detailed Waste Description
- Click the Detailed Waste Description box to enter a precise description of the waste, including its components and, if relevant, its main contaminant (e.g., "produced water with sand" or "soil contaminated with hydrocarbons").
- Shipping Name: Automatically generated using the detailed waste description you provide.
- Estimated Volume and Units: Enter the estimated volume in the text box and select the appropriate unit of measure from the dropdown menu.
5. Add Notes and Attachments
By clicking in the "Notes" section, add any relevant information you would like the transporter and receiving facility to see.
- If necessary, attach files such as proof of classification, pictures of the waste, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), or analytical reports by clicking on 'Attach file' and uploading the file.
