Definitions:

  • Manual ticket creation process: Involves six (6) steps, each requiring you to complete a section of information to ensure a compliant and complete document (manifest or shipping document). These sections include:

    1. Pickup Information (This article)

    2. Generator Information

    3. Shipping Information

    4. Receiver Information

    5. Transporter Information 

    6. Finalize

  • Predefined Location: a location is permanent or an already established location within your company's account. This type of location is setup in advance and does not require additional customization by the user. Predefined locations are pulled in from Petro Ninja and managed by a the company's Superuser. To have a predefined location added to your list of locations, contact the company's Superuser, or WiQ support.
  • Custom Location: a location that is user-defined and not pre-established in the system. This type of location allows the user to input specific details and customize the location according to their needs. Customer locations are not permanent, meaning they do not get added to the dropdown menu for the next time a user creates a ticket. Only predefined locations will stay available in the dropdown menu.


To complete section one (1) 'Pickup Information', follow the instructions below.


Instructions:


1. Location Type

  • Click the dropdown menu and select a location type by clicking the dropdown menu. Depending on your selection, the information you need to provide will change.
  • Wellsite:
    • Surface location: Click the dropdown menu and select a surface location (LSD) by clicking on the dropdown menu
    • UWI Downhole: Click on the dropdown menu and select the corresponding UWI downhole location. There may be more than one option in this field.
    • Province, License Number, and Operator will automatically populate
    • Custom location: If you do not see your surface location in the available dropdown, create a custom location by typing the LSD number in the text box. Click 'create' to add this location. Repeat this process for the UWI downhole. 
    • Click on the dropdown menu to select the province and enter in the license number for the facility/surface location. 
    • Click on the dropdown menu to select the operator from the dropdown. WiQ Tip! Make sure you are selecting the right Operator /BA code for your province. WiQ Tip! If you create a custom location (wellsite, facility, pipeline, other), this will not be saved in your dropdown list. To add a permanent location to the dropdown menu, contact your company Superuser or WiQ support.


  • Facility:
    • Surface location: Click the dropdown menu and select a surface location from the dropdown menu
    • Facility ID: Click the dropdown menu and select the corresponding UWI downhole location. There may be more than one option in this field.
    • Province and License Number will automatically populate
    • Custom locationIf you do not see your surface location in the available dropdown, create a custom location by typing the LSD number in the text box. Click 'create' to add this location. Repeat this process for the facility ID. 
    • Click the dropdown menu and Select the province and enter the license number.
    • Click the dropdown menu and Select the operator.
  • Pipeline:
    • Address type: Click the dropdown menu and select either the Latitude/Longitude (Lat/Long) or LSD 
    • Lat/Long: enter the coordinates by typing in the Latitude and Longitude fields 
      • Click the dropdown menu and select the Province from the dropdown menu and type in the License number
      • Click the dropdown menu and select the Operator from the dropdown menu 
    • LSD: enter the LSD number by typing in the open text box


  • Other:
    • Address type: Click the dropdown menu and select 'street address' from the dropdown menu. This location type can be used in the case of a spill cleanup. Type in the street address and click the dropdown menu to select the province from the dropdown menu.


2. Select an Activity Type: 

  • The activity type allows the generator operator to indicate how the waste was generated. This information is available to the transporter and receiver for safe handling of the waste and used in regulatory reporting. 
  • Options in this menu include: completions, construction/commissioning, decommissioning, drilling internal, operations, production, rec/rem and turnaround.
  • Click the dropdown menu and select the activity type that is most appropriate for the waste stream.



3. Select a pickup date and time

  • Click the calendar icons to select a date and time for pickup, or check the box for next available pickup. 
  • It is recommended that operators continue to schedule pickups by contacting the transporter directly. This ensures accurate pickup times and facilitates adequate communication between stakeholders.
